Erectile dysfunction is defined as the persistent inability to achieve or maintain penile erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance. The Massachusetts Male Aging Study surveyed 1,709 men aged 40–70 years between 1987 and 1989 and found there was a total prevalence of erectile dysfunction of 52 percent.

Peyronie's disease is where plaques (segments of flat scar tissue) form under the skin of the penis. These plaques can cause the penis to bend or become indented during erections. The plaques can often be felt through the skin and can be painful.

Penile implants are required when the medications are not efficient, and in some severe cases like Peyronie’s disease (fibrous scar tissue that develops on the penis and causes curved painful erections).

Stapler circumcision is a minimally invasive procedure that is used for safe, quick and efficient removal of the penile foreskin. The procedure is performed using a circumcision stapler (also called anastomat), an instrument specially designed for circumcision.
